This series of five creative writing and media workshops brings together diverse narrative forms to offer participants a comprehensive, hands-on engagement with contemporary modes of storytelling, while foregrounding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), women's empowerment, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI). Spanning scriptwriting, science writing, haiku, filmmaking, and comics, the workshops are designed to nurture creative expression alongside critical awareness of social responsibility, equity, and technological change.
Through guided sessions led by renowned practitioners, participants will explore how storytelling can be mobilized to address issues such as gender equality, inclusive development, scientific literacy, and ethical innovation, in alignment with key SDGs. The programme encourages participants to engage with AI as a creative and analytical tool—examining its possibilities, limitations, and ethical implications—while retaining human creativity, voice, and reflexivity at the centre of narrative practice.
Emphasizing experimentation, interdisciplinary learning, and critical reflection, the workshops enable participants to produce original work that speaks to contemporary social challenges. Collectively, the series aims to foster creativity, clarity of expression, digital and ethical literacy, and an appreciation of storytelling as a transformative medium for social change, women's empowerment, and sustainable futures.
