Natesh Hegde is a young and accomplished filmmaker with critically acclaimed films to his credit. Having been trained in journalism, Hegde briefly worked for the Kannada daily Praja Vani, before venturing into filmmaking. Raised in Karnataka amidst the Western Ghats, Natesh’s cinema is immensely influenced by his life and roots. His Pedro is set in Sirsi of Karnataka, with his father playing the lead role. The film made it to the Busan International Film Festival—in fact, the first Kannada film to make it to the festival.
